tdr170
I am testing the amount applied to shipments in the UPS module and have an issue I hope someone can help with. The shop base is located in Pompano Beach Fl and I am in Arcadia FL and I have a test subject that lives in Kentucky. So tonight we went on the shop at the same time and entered the same products, however the shipping to Kentucky was $12.52 and to ship to me was $15.44 how is this possible I am just a few hundred miles away and Kentucky is well a whole other state. I have checked and checked and can not find anything that would apply any extra fee's, I have no tax, no additional shipping charges or package weight being applied to shipping. My thought was it was adding tax to Florida shipping but that does not seem to be the case see below. In the same order the prices where as follows. Shipping from Pompano Beach Fl to Type--------------------Arcadia Fl--------------------------Kentucky Ground--------------------15.44-------------------------------12.52-------------+2.92 Three day-----------------18.54-------------------------------17.47-------------+1.07 Second day air---------- 23.74-------------------------------22.96-------------+0.78 As you can see it is not a consistent price difference, has anyone else seen this issue or have any ideas as to the cause. bellini13
i am pretty sure UPS is returning the rates to your prestashop module. Have you gone to the UPS site to determine what the rate "should" be, so you can perform a valid comparison?
tdr170
Thanks did as you asked and yes I have now checked the prices on UPS.com against those given by the module. I can get theme to show the same price with a few changes to the back office. I will have to do some more testing to make sure prices are correct for various locations. Funny thing I notice is that just changes the pick-up type makes big differences in prices given both at ups.com and in the module. Thanks for responding and a good tip for sure.
