How to set-up a multishop

Recommended Posts

I am working on a development that will see two sub-shops under one website:

  1. The Product Area (PA) selling the product
  2. The Product Image Area (PIA) that will sell high quality product related images and house portfolios of leading photographers.

The two areas will be graphically similar. There will be just one common shopping cart.

Though the PA will have seller profiles and be multilingual; whereas the PIA will have photographer profiles and show each photographers portfolio. The PIA will need more control over content added, as photos added have to be approved first by a pane of experts.

From a shopper point of view the website must be seemless. The website should seem like one shop.

From a seller point of view, I want access control levels, where a seller status can easily be changed - for allowing them to sell products and/or exhibit images.

Is this possible in Prestashop?

Is a multishop approach best, or should I use one shop and create 2 seperate categories?

Advice much appreciated
