[SOLVED] Technical error: xmlHttpRequest no solution seems to be working

I've recently updated my prestashop to 1.4.8.2 and now I'm gettting an error that many have seen before. When I go to Modules tab in backoffice I see a popup with the following message: technical error [object xmlHttprequest]. Moreover Payment and shipping tabs show nothing and I cannot add products in backoffice as the Product page is not shown correctly.

 

I've tried all the solution I could including changing cart.php, frontcontroller.php, shared.mb_str_replace.php as suggested but nothing is working. I've also check if mbstring was installed and got the result (in attachement) according to which I think it is installed and enabled.

 

I'll really appreciate if someone can help me solve this problem.

I solved my problem by tracking down the files that were causing this error. I replaced my classes folder with the freshly downloaded prestashop classes folder and everything is running perfectly now.
