VAT_no validation/requierment filed

Hi all

 

I have a shop for the swedish market and I want that when a customer input a company name then a vat_no must be entered. I have done so that the field for vat_no is required but this affects the whole checkout.

 

For example if a client (no company) choose the guest check out and does not fill in the "company" filed then the vat_no filed is not being shown = this is how it is to day.

 

But when the clint clicks on "save" he gets an error that "vat_no is required" although he did not enter any company name. (se enclosed pic.)

 

so in short.

 

If you are not a company (does not enter anything i company filed) then you should not be requiered to fill in vat_no

 

if you fill in the "company" field the you must enter a vat_no

 

hope you understand my english... I really appreciated if someone could tell me what I sholud alter in the code and where
