[SOLVED]Disabling BackOrder (so no one can order overstock)

Hi there,

 

I am wondering on how to disable the back order feature. This is in the sense of there being say, 100 products, and the customer orders 101 products. This generates a "Back Order" email, which we do not want.

 

What we want is the ability for the shop to notify the customer that when they place an order which is over the stock we have, that it will simply tell them there is not enough stock available for the order to be placed.

 

Is there a module or some such which can allow this, or something inside prestashop itself which can rectify this?

Hi Samar,

Go to Preferences->Products and scroll down.

Then turn OFF "Allow ordering of out-of-stock products"

"Allow ordering of out-of-stock products" is already set to No, still when a customer orders more than that in stock, backorder email is generated.
