[SOLVED] Moving files from subfolder to the root

Hi all,

 

i have created my ecommerce on a subfolder on the server (www.domain.com/me) and its all right.

Now I want to move the website to the root, so (www.domain.com).

 

I have done:

1. backup of the DB

2. copy of all the files from the folder /me

3. page all the file on the root

4. modify the file settings.inc.php with '__PS_BASE_URI__', '/'

 

After all this, when i go to my website (www.domain.com) don't show most of the images (please see in the picture attached).

 

Could someone help me please?

Hi Mike,

 

i have done like instructions on this link (Moving Prestashop to a New Domain), but unfortunately don't found: the website continue without show the images/icons.

 

Do you know which could be the problem?

Problem Resolved!!!

 

Basically, the problem was the download/upload of the images with filezilla (ftp).

 

This is all that i had to do (two solutions):

 

1. Enter directly to the control pannel of the hosting and download/upload the files through File Manager

or

2. With filezilla (FTP) change the way of tranfer the files to binary (Transfer - Transfer mode- Binary)

Hi guys, I need to do the same things but I don't wanna loose my pages ranking.

 

If i move all the site from mysite.com/shop to mysite.com how can i set a 301 (or other maybe?) instruction to get Google & co understand that mysite.com/shop/abcdefg is now mysite/abcdefg ?
