need help with product combinations and images

we are developing a new site in prestashop and everything is going good. however we are now stuck while doing products data entry. our products can have few different options which customers can customize. we are using the prestashop product combination generator which is very good, however it does not give us the option to specify different images for each combination.

 

each product can have upto 1600 different combinations, however most combinations would use the same images. some combinations do require seperate images. it is not possible to manually do this.is there a way to assign images to different combinations based on a set of rules, for example if the product has combinations of a,b and c it gets image A, if it is a,b, and d the product gets image B,C etc.

Hi kannu77,

 

It is possible to do it manually. All you have to do is after you create the combinations click on the pencil edit icon and select which image you would like to ad to this combo.

hello thanks for response. i was not too clear in my initial description. the problem is while this can be done manually like you have suggested, however each product can have over 1000 combinations, therefore we are trying to find a automated way to assign images based on certain sets of rules or otherwise, as assigning images to each combination manually would just take too much time

Hi, i have this problem with combinations:

 

- I enabled the combinations and with the first visualization you show also photos that are only for the other combination.

- Then if you change combination and you rechange combinations like the first time all photos are will be ok like image associated with the combinations. 

 

can anyone help me?
