USPS domestic and international with insurance and extra services

been thinking about it for while and here is where i found myself...

 

 

1 gather table data from usps manually or via api,

https://www.usps.com...ra-services.htm

http://pe.usps.com/t...Imm/immctry.htm then click a country for details on max insurable amount (the one specific i currently need.) for instance ::

 

For insurance coverage above

$2,000, add $1.50 for each $500 or

fraction thereof, up to a maximum

of $5,000 per shipment.

2 have module to intercept shipping address and cart details and recalculate shipping,

in the classes/cart.php im trying to do if ($delivery->country == 'United States') $shipping_cost = $20;

(from their i can code statments from tables)
