sajidbh
Hi I am in process of setting up an online store and facing one problem. I set default country to UK and when I add one product in cart, cart automatically calculates the shipping rates according to weight prices assign for UK. Shouldn’t cart ask about customer’s country first ? Why cart always show UK's shipping ratrs? If someone in Australia or USA and he add a product in cart, he will see the shipping cost of UK! How to handle this situation? Thanks
hxd
After a customer logs in to their account on your site and they add a product, the shipping cost is automatically calculated according to the default delivery address of the particular customer. Customers can add many addresses and during the check out process they can change the delivery address. This will automatically change the shipping cost according to the new delivery address. You can test it yourself by creating a test customer account; just add different addresses from various countries, make an order and change the delivery address. Or you can use several test accounts if it's more convenient for you. Of course, before that you have to configure the shipping settings from the back office. Hope this helps.
Paulito
Good Morning, The first thing you need to do is set up a carrier/s 1. Go to Back Office > Shipping > Carriers > Add new: for example if you are shipping only to UK then just use Royal Mail, if you are shipping to USA, Europe etc then use Royal Mail Airsure, anyway fill out the required fields. 2. You now need to decide whether you are shipping by price or weight: so click on the relevant Tab and the Add New and fill out the required fields. 3. Click on the shipping Tab and look for the Fees section at the bottom of the page. Here you need to select a carrier/s that you have already made in step 1. Now enter a price for the Zones you are going to deliver to. Please remember to SAVE as you go along. Hope this helps Paul 3.

AKJV
Thanks for reply, but how to manage for those who want to buy as guest or don't want to registered as members.... I have option to check out as guest for visitors . Guests still have to fill in an address (for delivery) of course. So they should be able to see updated shipping rate that match their delivery address.
tomerg3
You can check out this Localized Shipping module. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/148747-module-localized-shipping-set-shipping-rates-by-country-state-or-zipcode-range-or-wildcard/ In addition to letting you enter a specific rate per country, state of postcode, it also offers a shipping preview option that is available in the products pages as well as in the cart section, and does not require the customer to login to see prices (for their country). El Patron
We solved this problem of 'non-logged' in users and country setting and shows a consistent view by country of your unique prodcut catalog by country, prices, shipping, taxes etc. here is forum post: http://www.prestasho...log-by-country/ we also allow you to manipulate logged in visitors country and include an IP simulator to test your by country product catalog.
