IE SSL alert (not a security issue!)

Hi.

 

I only use the admin panel with SSL so i have a redirect to https.

If i open admin panel in https with internet explorer i get a security alert that there are secure and unsecure items on the page.

This is because of the Prestashop Live RSS feed from http://www.prestashop.com/rss/news.xml on the homepage.

Are there any solutions for the alert?  ???

Sorry for the waiting time, we didn't see your post.

Maybe just changing "http://www.prestashop.com/rss/news.xml" by "https://www.prestashop.com/rss/news.xml" will solve your problem.

That was the first thing i tried.

I get 'timed out' errors for https://www.prestashop.com

Not a big problem.

Our server isn't a SSL one so https:// cannot work properly :-

Also account information , account creation and payment pages should be SSL.

SSL functionality is planned to be included in a version coming out in the very near future, at the very latest 1.0 which is currently slated to be released in mid-January.

Do not worry about SSL anymore. According to this post, you should have it in the next release

 

But concerning our "Prestashop Live RSS feed" I'm affraid it won't be available so soon (but we keep it in mind ).
