How do we add wordings to our footer instead of just links?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

As mention above, is there anyway for us to have wordings in footer as well? I need to add address in my footer but not sure how to do it as I went to module and try to add in but couldn't. Anyone please help? Really appreciate it. Thanks

you can also write the text you need in the footer php file of your theme, than it appears there
i did it with a few thinks it worked you just need to try out the position where to write it, that it appears at the right place.

maybe you use firebug for firefox to find the right place in the code.

You don't edit any php files. ALl the alterations will be done in your themes footer.tpl file, which is located in your theme folder.

In that file you will see this line of code:

<!-- Footer -->
{$HOOK_FOOTER}

Add your text directly after that and it will appear right at the bottom of your page. If you put it before the footer div i think that should add it above your footer links.

You can see an example on my site at www.purplegiraffe.co.uk
