Aboubakr
Hi everyone, I'm beginner in prestashop, and I work for a concept store, we're using a shipping module that responds well to our needs except some small things. To begin, in code, I'm looking for the instructions that show the shipping modes, Where can I find that, please? Thank you for your answers Edited July 11, 2012 by Aboubakr (see edit history)
Mike Kranzler
Hi Aboubakr, If you would like to get accurate assistance on this, you would need to provide more information, such as your PrestaShop version, name and version of the module you're using, and what you're specifically looking to change. -Mike
Aboubakr
Hi Mike, In fact, we're using the module stiffparcel version 1.1.8.3, and prestashop 1.4.3. This module provides the possibility to divide the client command into packages depending on products types. That means: When having two products, small and very big one (or not ready yet to be delivered), they will automatically be separated, so with different transporters. This is a great thing indeed, very useful, but sometimes, we have cases like that with different products, but they are both ready and in the same place. So we want to deliver them together with the same transporter, and we can't do that with the current module. So we have to go into the code I hope I was clear in this question, And thank you very much Edited July 11, 2012 by Aboubakr (see edit history)
Mike Kranzler
Where did you download this module? I'm not very familiar with it. -Mike
Aboubakr
Ah yes, it's not me who downloaded the module, The store works with it since a long time, they bought it. I think it doesn't matter, because what I want to do is not really in the module. What do you think? What can you advise me?
Mike Kranzler
If you're looking to edit an external module, there's not much I can suggest without deep knowledge of the module itself, as the changes you're looking to make are within the module's own files. I would suggest that you contact the developer of this module directly for advice on how to implement your desired changes. -Mike
