Menu or product item link to pdf

I was wondering if there is anyway to have a menu item, which is a section name, just link to a pdf instead of having to show a list of products within the section.

 

Or if this is not possible would it be possible when a product is clicked to just bring up a pdf?

Upload the PDF file to your server in an accessible directory, add the link to it to link block

The menu is dynamic, how would i do this? I am not talking about the navigation menu bar but rather the product list menu.

I am still developing locally but I want to achieve one of the options here:

Eliminate categories and products logic of PrestaShop for direct downloads? Possible with many modifications but consider the possibility that you may be using the wrong tool.
