"Authentication failed" in Chrome and Firefox, works in IE and Safari

Hi there.

This is my first post so bear with me. I am using PrestaShop™ 1.4.7.0 I have just gone live with it. Last week everything worked. I have done no updates or editing.

 

Now my customers cannot log-in when using chrome or firefox. They (and i when testing this) get a "

Authentication failed"

message.

Customers can log-in with Safari and IE9 with no problems.

 

I don't understand this problem. My hoster says he has nothing special that could cause this.

 

Second thing is that in chrome and firefox i cannot put anything into the shopping cart. i get the message back that my cart is empty. in safari and ie i see my cart and can log-in for payment.

 

As i am live i am getting calls from customers asking what is wrong so please help me asap. Thanks.

Hi!

You can check if the problem is the same if you use the default theme, to point out if it is a theme issue or a prestashop core issue.

For me it sounds like some of your theme's .tpl files are not up to date
