spring00
Hi I've been working on the design of my prestashop and everything was fine last time I logged out. But today I noticed that the formatting for my login page and the back office seems to have been 'removed'. Everything looks wrong! Can anybody help please? The website looks fine by the way. If it helps I'm using Prestashop 1.4.8.2 and I've changed the standard theme to suit my needs. I've attached some screenshots - one showing the strange login page and the other showing part of the Dashboard page.
Mike Kranzler
Hi jen, Did you make any changes to files in the /admin directory? Those are the files that would affect the pages in the screenshots you've posted above. -Mike

Jen Changes to global.css shouldn't cause these sorts of issues. Can you please try clearing your browser's cache to see if it looks any better after that? -Mike
spring00
Hi I've tried clearing the cache and also tried a different browser but no success. I just cant think what I've done wrong. I'm wondering if I've changed some code and somehow its faulty and its affecting other parts of the site. But I'm not an expert so I could be completely wrong. Do you have any other suggestions? spring00
Hi Mike To be honest I made lots of tiny changes on the day not just to the global.css but also to some of the css files e.g. editorial.css. I will work backwards and try to see where I've gone wrong. I was just hoping someone had done this before and could point me in the right direction. Thanks for your help Jen
spring00
Latest update - I've replaced the css files which I had altered with the standard ones (I've made copies of my work) and I've replaced the admin file with the standard files even though I never altered these files. But its made no difference at all! I'm really scratching my head. The only thing that I can think left to try is to delete the entire installation and reinstall a fresh copy of prestashop. This seems a bit drastic so this is a final plea to see if anyone knows what has caused this problem.
Mike Kranzler
In your config/config.inc.php file, can you please set "display_errors" to "on" and then refresh the page and let me know if you receive any error messages on those admin pages? -Mike

Mike Kranzler
Hi wenny, As I asked Jen above, can you please turn on your error reporting and let us know if you receive any error messages? -Mike
spring00
Sorry for delay. I had to get the site finished asap so in the end I had to a fresh install and redo my work If it happens again I will look at the error logs.

Mike Kranzler
Great, I'm glad you were both able to resolve this! Sometimes, a file or two isn't transferred properly during the installation, it's always good to check if any transfers failed via FTP. Happy selling! -Mike
