no product image in the category list shows for new products

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Running 1.4.4.1 and tried to move my shop to another server.

Everything seemed to go perfect but when i tested to create a new product in the shop the image in the category list didn't show but every picture when i clicked in into the producted shows.

What could be wrong ?

Kind regards

I just had almost the same issue in upgrading to 1.4.8.2

No category images. Other images appear, just not for Category headers & thumbs.

I used the autoupgrade program to update. Everything seems to have carried over & work properly except for the category images.

- I tried the regeneration option;

- I tried deleting in BO then re-upping via BO;

- I manually deleted the images (via FTP) from the /img/c folder & re-installed them via BO - PS says they are installed, it has made new thumbnails & the images show in the BO;

But on the shop - No luck.

Using 'inspect element' on the store I wonder about the references to the image files eg:-

on http://www.mp-comp.c...onic-cigarettes

<a href="http://www.mp-comp.co.uk/en/9-accessories" title="Accessories">
<img src="/c/9-medium/accessories.jpg" alt="" width="80" height="80"/>

---where the image would actually be /c/9 *.jpg

I assume this is a PS specific routing call.

Can I re-route this call manually to get around this issue? Where is it hiding? :huh:

Thanks in advance!

  • 4 weeks later...

In answer to my own query....

The database was corrupted by the failed upgrade to 1.4.8.2 using the autoupgrade module.

Completely restoring the DB pretty much sorted it out.

However since this upgrade attempt & rollback I now have issues with S&H. (Info on this issue at that topic)

Given the 'critical' issues of downtime the upgrade process could be improved. Or I would like to think that it could be improved.... :rolleyes:
