Problem with theme translations

Hello,

I installed and correctly configured a Prestashop 1.4;

 

in addition we bought a theme from the addons site and correctly installed and run also it.

 

Later I went to change some translations, so I went to admin site ->Tools -> translations - > Translation of installed module and then I selected the italian flag.

 

I changed only a couple of words and then I clicked on Save.

 

After that I can not view more any term of the theme modules translated in italian. If I click on front-end the italian flag I continue to view the theme modules terms in english.

 

I already tried to clean casche and force compile , but nothing changed.

How can I restore the original italian translation of these modules, italian translation that was included in the theme package I bought?
