Andy Dahl
Our site (http://5startuning.com/onlinestore ) gives the error message "too many redirects" when placing an item in the shopping cart and then clicking "Checkout". We've done nothing new to the site. It's running Prestashop 1.4.0.17. I administer the site, but I can't get into the back office (I get the same too many redirects when trying to sign in). The site owner can still log in that way though. Any and all help would be appreciated! Andy
Mike Kranzler
Hi Andy, Often, this error can be avoided by switching to One Page Checkout in your Back Office under Preferences. However, the root cause of the issue is usually something to do with your caching settings. You can learn more about this here. I hope this helps. -Mike
Andy Dahl
Thanks for the help. We did switch to one-page Checkout but it hasn't helped. I still cannot get back-office access (just give the white screen of death). How can I get back-office access again? Everything has been working for about 1 year and then suddenly yesterday, it stops. Could this be related to an SSL problem? Thanks, Andy
Mike Kranzler
Hi Andy, How long have you had this error? And does it have an active SSL certificate already? -Mike
Andy Dahl
It just started yesterday or today. The SSL certificate has been active for last nine months. Thanks again. Andy

Andy Dahl
No changes at all. The owner of the shop was updating inventory last night, and there was a power outage at his home, but I didn't think that had anything to do with it.

Andy Dahl
Yes, the owner can. I cannot.
Andy Dahl
Here's the link to see if you get a login screen: [REMOVED] I've tried from two different computers in two different locations. Mike Kranzler
Yes, the owner can. I cannot. You should have him check the Back Office settings under the Employees tab. It's possible something may have been inadvertently changed that is restricting your access. -Mike
Andy Dahl
Appreciate the free help, but your generalities aren't really that helpful. I'm well aware that "something may have been inadvertently changed" or messed up or gone haywire. However, what I'm looking for is some actionable intelligence that I can use to fix the problem. What causes stuff like this? What are some tests I can run to narrow it down? Stuff like that... Regards, Andy
Bill Dalton
Andy have you tried to reach the login with a different browser or from another machine? Sorry I can't suggest anything more, I'm new to Prestashop.
