GibbsEricJ
I downloaded the Prestashop zip folder from this website from the main page. Prestashop 1.4.8.2 I can not continue installing due to the following. It states that I don't have write permissions on the smarty folder, and on the compile folder inside of the smarty_v2 folder. The funny thing is, in the official download on Prestashop's website, I do not have a smarty folder, only smarty_v2, and there is not a compile folder in the smarty_v2 folder.... Required set-up. Mike Kranzler
Hi GibbsEricJ, I just downloaded a fresh copy of version 1.4.8.2 from our website, and can confirm that the tools/smarty directory is, in fact, included in the download files for PrestaShop. tools/smarty_v2/compile should be present as well. Can you please post a screenshot of your file structure in the area you're looking for these files? -Mike
GibbsEricJ
You're right. I checked the originally downloaded zip folder, and it's in there. must have been a transfer issue on my behalf.
Mike Kranzler
You're right. I checked the originally downloaded zip folder, and it's in there. must have been a transfer issue on my behalf. I'm glad I could help! In this situation, the best thing to do would be to delete everything via FTP and then start from scratch. You wouldn't want to go from missing files to duplicate files, would you? I'll go ahead and mark this thread as solved for you. Good luck with your new PrestaShop site! -Mike
