Amazonya
Hello I do not understand how this works: when adding a photo in the BO against it systematically renamed. Jpg ? In addition the format of my photo is not respected, it is more weight. I understand nothing in this system and order that is completely wrong. Does someone passes it directly by downloading FTP or another method ? Thank you for your response.

Amazonya
Hello Bill, Thank you for your answer, but unfortunately this does nothing to correct the problems of native prestashop. Many problems and defects for optimizing images and their names in PNG, more the principle of operation is the greatest disorder.
Bill Dalton
The problem that all shopping carts try to solve is that images are needed for different things and in different sizes. The thumbnail image created for your cart page is usually good enough and saves you work. This is an amazing time saver when you are offering hundreds or thousands of products. There are trade-offs sure, but you gain more than you lose. But what about small shops like mine? I have only about fifty products. That means I can easily replace every image with my own custom image. After you add an image, simply replace the images you prefer. You still need to match the sizes set as per above, but you can have your cake. Just don't regenerate images, and make sure you have good backups off site. Amazonya
Thank you for your response. So if I understand you replace your photos that you have generated with FTP. Yes I agree that we may not have everything, but there are problems that I do not understand and certainly other people prestashop. Again thank you for your help. If anyone has any information to correct these problems on version 1.4.4.1 and others ...
