Database Password Change

Recommended Posts

Hi mario,

If you change that password field back to whatever it was originally, that should hopefully resolve it for you. That area of your Back Office is only for making changes after you've changed them in the database itself in order to make sure your site continues to point in the right direction. What you've done here is basically entered an incorrect password for your database in your Back Office, so your access is getting denied. Once the password is correct again, you should be fine.

In the future, if you would like to change the password to your database you should do that through your hosting provider, and then only update that field once it has already been changed.

I hope this helps.

I am not sure what the old password was, Can I get to the required PHP area, that is, Where ?

If you're not sure what the old password was, I would recommend that you call your hosting provider. They'll be able to help you out, as we don't have access to this.
