Wine&Cheese Posted June 20, 2012 Share Posted June 20, 2012 I am thinking about using PrestaShop. A big problem we have is that we sell two main types of products, beer & wine. We are looking forward to having the fedex module to help with real shipping quotes. Are the options to calculate shipping differently for different categories of items? For example 12 items of wine fit into 1 box, but 4 items of beer fit into 1 box. Can you set different paramaters per category for when another box is added etc.? If for example a customer orders 12 bottles of wine that is one box, if they order 13 bottles that triggers the additional box (need for additional shipping cost - cost of new box and fedex rate). For the beer if they order 4 (6packs) that is 1 box, 5 would be 2 boxes for shipment. Are there ways to set up the shipping that if a cutomer orders more than a certain item per category that the additional charges would be triggered...like in wine above 12 items and in beer above 4. I did see some writing about being able to put product dimentions and based on that it decides the box and number of boxes. That might be the solution. Mike Kranzler Posted June 20, 2012 Share Posted June 20, 2012 Hi Wine&Cheese, When you configure your FedEx account, both on your site and theirs, you are given the ability to set up multiple different options, including packaging sizes and different services.
