The need of more optimized Translations

Hello,

 

I've been translating Lithuanian for some quite time in PS1.4.x.

 

What gets me really annoyed there is translating the same words with the same meaning over and over again. For example, Company occurs at least ~4 times in BO translations. There are even more words like "Save", "Edit" and so on in Modules.

 

I've recently look on PS 1.5.x translations and they seem to work the same.

 

I think something should be done about this. I've heard that Drupal has some really good practices on translating, they even give plurals in some cases separate which are very important for some languages.

 

What do you think? What other community members think about this?

You're welcome to submit your suggestion here as an Improvement, and if you develop this yourself and submit it to our team, we would be happy to look into integrating it into a future release.

I would like to hear some other opinions about this at first in addition there might be some problems with older versions compatibility if we change on how those Translations work etc.
