How do I show 4 products from each of my categories on a single page?

Hi there,

 

I'm developing an ecommerce shop and have a question.

 

The site I am developing has a separate 'shop' page, which at the moment is a category.

What I'd like to do is show 4 products from each of my categories (4 in total - excluding the 'shop' category) on this page. As per my HTML template here:

How would I go about doing this?

 

I'd envisaged (in an ideal world) my client being able to log in to the back-office and easily selecting which products (only 4 from each category) appear on this page at any time. Is that possible?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.
