Removing Category Name

Hi,

 

I have a fully working site and am happy with my URLs, however my client is insistent that when on a product page, the URL doesn't contain the category name.

 

For example, if a certain product URL is:

www.mysite.com/category/product.html

 

They want it to read:

www.mysite.com/product.html

 

I have explained that having the category in the URL will have very little impact on SEO, they insist it is very important them.

 

Can anyone help me achieve that goal as I've become a bit stuck on the subject.

 

Using prestashop 1.4.6.2
