Hessellund
I am trying to migrate from prestashop 1.1.0.5 (quite old) to the new version 1.5 RC I followed the steps here: http://doc.prestasho...5/Manual+update But I get this message from the install script: Warning: You cannot use anymore this tool to upgrade your store. You already have PrestaShop version 1.1.0.5 installed. If you want to upgrade to the latest version please read our documentation: http://docs.prestash...ting+PrestaShop Please advise how to migrate the products, customers and orders from the old 1.1.0.5 version. Mark Hesketh
I'm going to be upgrading a busy 1.2.5 store to 1.5 in the next few weeks so would love to hear options on this also. Right now I'm thinking of starting fresh as the store will also be redesigned with the new features in mind, and do a CSV update for the data such as products, customers and orders. Any ideas? Dreamtheme
Are you going to use multi-shop feature of 1.5?
Dh42
Both of you should really think about upgrading by hand. I would set up a new database and install prestashop in a sub directory to use the new database. Then I would export your old database and add the information needed, because the newer version needs more information. It can be done, it will take some time. I would read the prestashop data object model and re-make your database by hand. If you haven't done it before I would consider paying someone to do it. Hessellund
I think of having a fresh install to. However, all products, consumers including adresses, orders need to be migrated. It is possible to upgrade from 1.1.0.5 to 1.4.x, but unfortunately not to 1.5.x. Does anyone know of a module which can export the relevant data, and reimport in a new version? dusigns
I was trying to do a 1.2.5 to 1.5.x upgrade - following the documentation that's floating around (you've all most likely seen it). I received the same message as Hessellund, then found a post mentioning "/install/upgrade/upgrade.php". This seemed to work... *mostly*. Some nasty things were done to our database - bad SQL calls, missing images, all kinds of madness. The part about "backups" - take that seriously :-) No major harm done on my end, except a few hours of down time. DesignHaus42 may have the best of it, to migrate the database manually. I'll be copying our 1.2.5 store to a spare linux box at the office and trying a few things (manual migration included). While keeping the upgrade far, far away from our server until everything's working. Any other quick n nasty ideas would, of course, be appreciated :-) Cheers! phrasespot
Hello, Except already mentioned migration methods you can also try to use *** They now support PrestaShop 1.5 and you can move your products, orders and customers data from your current version to a new one. And as far as I can see it is exactly what Hessellund and Mark Hesketh need. You are an advertising shill for the service you mention, at least be honest and don't pretend you are a user. Moderators, take action please. post post post post post post post post post post post post
