Request for suggestions: Need a better product gallery

Hi,

 

I am using the default template in PS1.4. I like its simplicity, but the product listing section leaves a bit to be desired if you have a lot of items in any one category.

 

My site is organized simply:

 

I want this type of product subsection, with the controls at the TOP as they are here, not the bottom:

I am willing to purchase a genuinely slick solution that doesn't give me heartburn from big or little problems in setup or operation.

 

If you know of such a truly finished and mature module, please let me know.
