Upgraded shop with automatic module to 1.4.8.2 Admin still shows old version

I manually upgraded my shop a while ago to 1.4.5.1. There were a few errors but I sorted those out eventually. The backend though still showed my version as 1.4.0.17. Seeing as I'd had errors to sort out after the upgrade I decided not to mess again as I didn't want to break it any more.

 

I've just installed the automatic installer to install to the latest 1.4.8.2. Everything went fine. No errors at all. However the backend still shows the version as 1.4.0.17.

 

If admin still shows the old version is that an error or has my shop not upgraded? I'm a little wary of trying a manual upgrade to 1.4.8.2 because there were errors last time which took a while to fix and my shop never actually upgraded.

 

I don't want to be left too far behind in the upgrades and am currently having an issue with some orders coming through withotu a shipping charges so it's probably the right time to upgrade. But my shop seems determined to stay in the old version.
