Product Sorting Issue ?

So here is the issue I have 763 products and have just enter a new product that has a part #900015 and needs to be moved up in the list to be in the correct order.

The item is in a sub directory of a sub directory of the main category.

 

Shepherd Velox Parts

Velox V8 Parts

V8 Option parts - 900015

 

When I move the product to the correct location in the 2 sub categories all is fine and the position is correct but when I move the product in the main category to the correct location between 900014 and 900021, it will move as soon as you leave the category.

When you go back to check location it is now right after part number 408101 and no matter how many times I move it, it returns to this location.

I tried deleting it and reentering the product with the same results.

Originally this part is in the option parts as the default category so I even tried to enter it in the main category and it moves again this time right after part #606102.

Can't figure out how to fix anyone else have an issue like this???
