V1.4.8.2 image uploaded didnt appear

dear all,

im a new user to prestashop & my first version is the latest version i.e. 1.4.8.2. im having problem with 2issues here:

1) i tried enabling the friendly URL & generate the htaccess file. as simple as 123 following the user guide. unfortunately, giving me 404 error. hence, i hv given up, it is not just that simple that beginners like me could handle, hence i decided to disable the friendly URL.

 

2) then i continued uploading images for my product categories, & there i realised whatever i hv uploaded doesnt appear like previously. im quite sure it must be something wrong with my enabling & disabling the friendly url issue.

 

i do not know how to restore my uploaded images.

could anyone pls advise me.

For friendly url, have you checked that your server allows it?

 

For the images, have you tried to regenerate them? The htaccess?
