aotyehel
I have just installed Prestashop. I can access the backend fine. But the front end just comes up blank. I have changed the config file as suggested to show error, but still nothing shows. Please help before I lose all faith in this product.
Mike Kranzler
Hi aotyehel, This could be a permissions issue. In your config/config.inc.php file, please set "display_errors" to "on", then refresh the page and let me know if you receive any error messages? -Mike
aotyehel
As I said in the original post - display errors IS set to 'on' and still nothing comes up.
Mike Kranzler
As I said in the original post - display errors IS set to 'on' and still nothing comes up. And who is your hosting provider? Assuming you've already confirmed that all of your permissions are correct, you may also want to check that the proper information is filled in under Preferences > SEO & URLs in your Back Office. -Mike
aotyehel
I am testing on shared hosting (.Net Intermediate) with The Small Business Authority - formerly Newertech, formerly Crystaltech (see: http://webservices.thesba.com/dotnet.aspx) and the permissions must be OK (as no errors came up at install - part from the PHP magic quotes which can only be enabled on dedicated hosting). I have checked the SEO and URL info, and it is correct to the best of my knowledge.

Can you please also check your hosting server's error log and let me know if you have any error messages listed there? -Mike
aotyehel
I have had a look at what server logs I can gain access to - but cannot see any errors. Not sure that I will get any further than this.

In that case, I would recommend that you first call your hosting provider, as they may have access to some of the information that you do not. -Mike
aotyehel
I have been in touch. They can see the blank page and NO errors being reported. I asked them to look through their tickets to see if there was anything similar - and there wasn't - but others have installed PrestaShop. I have decided to re-upload the install and go through again (deleting the DB and recreating it). That might sort the problem.

aotyehel
My install is on a Windows server - not Apache. So the generator won't work.

mooshi
Mark...I think maybe you installed without demo data? if you go to your modules and install eg: Categories block and then see if it shows on the front end. Could be wrong...but worth a shot!

[email protected]
I have just installed prestashop 1.54.1 and I cannot get the frront page to show up either. The back end works fine. I have tried deleting and reinstalling 3 times with same results. What's worse, last week I had originally installed it and it worked fine. I am not great with html or programming so any help would be appreciated. I cannot figure out why the page won't show up, in my filemanager I can see the index page but cannot read it. I just noticed that there is no htaccess file in my prestashop folder. there is one in the psadmin folder so I am wondering if this is the reason why the page won't show up. Thank you.
