MEG Venture
Hi My Prestashop website is fast enough. However when I write the domain name and hit enter, it says "waiting www.mydomain.com" message for at least 6.6 seconds and then starts loading the main page. Can you give me an idea how I can lessen that time ? Attached picture. Thanks in advance. Mike Kranzler
Hi Caglar, I took a look at this with a developer, and his first impression was that it was due to the custom changes you have made to your site. Can you please try temporarily switching back to the default theme and let me know if the issue persists? -Mike
MEG Venture
Thanks Mike. Please check now. The issue seems continuing. It is even longer. Edited June 5, 2012 by Caglar (see edit history)
Mike Kranzler
There still appear to be some overrides from your theme affecting the default theme, which could be why the issue is persisting even after the switch. Is this a new site, or one that has been live for a while? And when exactly did this issue crop up? -Mike
MEG Venture
I see. How can I detect the overrides? Version is 1.4.2.5 and it is alive for a long time. However, this issue is always on.

We just looked into this a bit further, and it looks like the best thing for you to do in this situation would be to follow Google's page speed instructions, which we ran for you here. -Mike
