GuyB
I'm new to Prestashop and so far I've found the forum excellent for all sort of tips and tricks. But I'm stuck with something I can't resolve! I have a site www.chh-design.com that I've changed from /prestashop/ to / (root), I did this in the settings settings.inc.php fle and the the PS Admin via preferences/SEO & URLS and mostly it works fine but all the links all have the /prestashop/ folder still showing. I've got round it by a redirect in .htaccess but from the DB Backup I can see 'prestashop' still in the db. How do I solve this - I don't have much experience with DBs and so I don't want to change all the references in the .sql file and import it - but maybe that is the answer. Thanks in advance
bellini13
can you be more specific about the links that still contain /prestashop in them? perhaps you have a custom module that needs to be revised?
GuyB
Yes, here's some detail from the sql file produced by the db backup using a normal text editor. ('15','1','Photo Gallery',NULL,NULL,'<p><a href=\"http://chh-design.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=36\"><img src=\"http://chh-design.com/gallery/1.jpg\" and ('100','PS_BASE_URI','/prestashop/','2010-09-05 16:58:15','2011-08-05 14:40:08'), and <a href=\"http://chh-design.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=52\"> from ps_product_lang It seem to me that as the site is working that Prestashop is not reading either the PS_BASE_URI from the setting file or the / from the SEO & URLS when I set that. maybe I'm wrong though. I very much appreciate your help. Guy It has lots of these url /prestashop/ references for thing like links in the footer and the
bellini13
could you also specify what database tables those entries are located in? you should only have to scroll up a little bit in the export file to see a "create table" line
Mike Kranzler
Hi Guy, Are all of your PrestaShop files uploaded directly to the root of your site via FTP, or are they within a /prestashop folder that is placed in the root? -Mike
GuyB
all the prestashop files and folders are in root there is no prestashop folder as that was what I moved from. Ok here are the tables and a record from each table showing the /prestashop/ bit in ps_cms_lang: ('7','1','Website Terms of Use',NULL,NULL,'<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Terms and Conditions</span></span></p>\r\n<p> </p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Welcome to our website. GuyB
Hi Mike, Thanks for your help. I've just found a lot of the references to /prestashop/ which was an included .txt file for the l/h menu and I've done a find and replace and all of the issues on the l/h menu have gone, which is great. I've inherited this site from another developer and he/she has obviously not used a module for the l/h menu but built a .txt file which is all hardcoded. So the question for me is what module should I use for a vertical or horzontal menu which I can put categories and 'About Us' etc in? Thanks also for your very prompt replies. I will go ahead and mark this thread as solved for you. Happy selling! -Mike
