Create textured margins/borders for Matrice

Hello!

 

I'm using the Matrice theme and I want to create lateral borders in my page with a texture as background image; something like this (the brown lateral borders):

 

 

I don't know anything of CSS, DIV's, etc.. but I used to work a lot with HTML and I guess I can learn fast.

 

Where and what should I look for?

Hello,

 

I think I've found the way to do this.

I've created an image whose center is the same wide and the same color as the theme I am using. Outside that center I've added the texture; like this:

 

 

Well, I think this way of doing this has an issue.

The center frame will be invariable but, due all the kind of resolutions being used nowadays I think I will have a problem if someone with a higher resolution than the background image visits the store, as the CSS will make a mosaic with the image.

 

Is there any way to solve this or do I have to make a mega-HD background? (on the other hand, this won't be a heavy size file).

Well. It doesn't work properly doing it that way:

 

 

The texture flows through the blocks. I think this happens because it doesn't align the image to the center. This is the code I've used:

 

background:url('img-url');
