Nodge Posted June 4, 2012 Share Posted June 4, 2012 My shop ihas been running a couple of weeks and I have processed 6 orders with no problem. Today I received an email from Paypal saying ... "Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing: http://www.mydomain.co.uk/shop/modules/paypal/ipn.php If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account." (Where mydomain is the domain of my shop). I'm not sure what this means or what to do about it. Everything seems to be working normally. What exactly do these IPNs do and should I be concerned? Nodge Posted June 5, 2012 Author Share Posted June 5, 2012 Could the problem be that I'm using the same paypal address for my ebay sales? I'm getting payment notifications of Ebay sales to my email but could paypal be trying to send them to Prestashop as well and they are failing because Prestashop doesn't recognise them? I'm still not sure what Prestashop is supposed to do with these IPNs and why it isn't doing it, but it seems it all works quite happily without them.
