fatal error on checkout of gratis products

Hi PS community,

 

I have an issue during the checkout of gratis products with 0,00€ price in my 1.4.8 setup.

Since the price is zero no payment modules are displayed for selection and checking the T&C's guides to the confirmation page.

After pressing the confirm button in 5-step checkout prestashop fails with fatal error.

We require to have gratis products and think that there is a bug.

even there was no response on this I could fix on my own by debugging and found a related post

in the file controllers/ParentOrderController.php in the function "_checkFreeOrder" add the following line

$order->active = true;

after

$order->free_order_class = true;
