Upgrade within 1.4 - need "how to"

Hello all,

 

I am running a 1.4.7.0 installation and want to upgrade to 1.4.8.2. I can see lots of information on 1.3 to 1.4 upgrades. I can also see the auto-updater, which won't install for me, and there is no real information in the error message (see

).

 

I need to either resolve the auto-updater problem OR upgrade manually. If I need to do manual, I need more clarity on how to do it. My current guess is:

1. Save settings.inc.php (and probably other files in CFG folder too) to re-apply later
   
2. FTP the new version over the old one with over-write on
   
3. Re-apply the config files from (1)
   

My intuition is I don't run the installer after this, as we have files in place and config OK.

 

Can you please educate me.

have you read the official upgrade guide? http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/Updating+PrestaShop

 

based on the questions you are asking, i would suspect you did not read through it
