All shipping options show up as FREE when free shipping amount is reached.

Recommended Posts

I have set up accounts on UPS, USPS and FedEx. I have used that information to successfully set up the UPS, USPS and FedEx modules in PS 1.4.8.x.

Free shipping is triggered by reaching an order amount.

No special modules or hacks are being employed.

When the cart reaches the order amount (or over) that triggers free shipping, ALL the shipping options show up on the lower part of the page, each one showing a price of "Free!".

A. What's up with that?

B. How do I make it stop?

Thanks!

This seems to be a strange post :)

You say you set a free shipping amount so when that order amount is reached the shipping options become free then you ask, "what's up with that?". Prestashop is doing exactly what you configured it to do.

If you do not wish to offer free shipping for a certain order amount disable the free shipping........that's how you 'make it stop'.

Its actually not a strange post.

I am having the same issue. I have multiple shipping options such as next day air and priority shipping which I do not want to be free. there does not seem to be a way to specify which shipping type you want to be free after a certain amount.

I think you were a bit quick to be a smarty pants Marty... without really understanding the issue at hand :)

OK then. Thank you for any kind and pertinent information on my post. No thank you for any smart alecky input, which I can get for free by asking my [spam-filter] what she thinks about most anything. (O;

I wanted to offer a number of shipping options ranging form USPS First Class to FedEx Next Day Air. I went to the trouble of setting up accounts with USPS, UPS and FedEx. I got all the default modules working on all three of these shipping services.

When I was testing the "free shipping" function, I found that the default shipping modules would offer free shipping ACROSS THE BOARD, instead of allowing only the lowest cost ship option, or any ship option I want to offer for free. Certainly, I don't want to offer FedEx Next Day Air for free.

If that's represents PS doing what it's supposed to do, then that's a problem.

Ultimately, I dumped the built-in shipping module(s), settled on USPS since I only ship in the U.S., and purchased/installed/configured the USPS module from Prestashopic. Simple, and slick. Shows ship options/prices as a subset of the cart. When I couldn't get it working, Prestashopic logged into my site, determined that there was a minor bug in their install instructions, OWNED UP TO IT, and fixed/tested it while I slept. That's customer service!
