one page checkout identification bug

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm experiencing a front office solid indentification bug when the "one page checkout" mode is selected in 1.4.7.0 as the order process type.

When a customer that is already registered comes to the identification zone, and fills his email adress and password, it comes to an identification error message.

Even if selecting "forgotten password" and entering the valid password received by email, it leads to the same error message.

If I change to 5 steps process, the same registered user can register without error message.

But I prefer the one page checkout method for many reasons.

I have just to add that with the "one page check out" mode selected, the customer identification leads to an error message in the order process, but if he makes the indentification process on the home page with the same datas, it works fine.

This leads to show that it really is a bug from the one page checkout mode

Anybody here has met and solved this problem ?

The concerned website is www.vincimusic.net. If somebody registers than turns back to identify, you will see the bug.

Thanks for your help

Hello

Personnally, I was interested in this one page check out mainly because it seemed easier and faster and it allowed the customer to see the shipments costs at the bottom of the page before registering.

Moreover, it avoided the confusion of having 2 choices to order, the basket or the "I order button".

But, due to this problem, I've selected the 5 steps process

.

To gain in efficiency, I have installed a link for shipment cost to a cms page, and unselected the "java basket option" that bypasses the "my basket" button.

This way, the 5 steps process is fine for me.

I hope you will succeed in solving the problem if the one page check is important for you.

Regards

Sure

http://www.simplyhe.co.uk/

- Add item to cart

- Checkout and enter password to create member

- Received email as registered member

- Logout

- Add item to cart

- Click Already Registered and enter username, password

- Prompted "Password is required"

Basically it's as if it always detected that the field is empty, even if it has text!

Thank you Mike , but that report just goes on to show that there is yet another different bug in the one page check out. I have disabled it for now, until I can manage to fix it. I also think that this module could be very benefital to boost sales, if it worked properly.....

Hi everyone,

I'm having the same bug with the same error message (password required) with the same configuration ( ok with 5 steps, not ok with one page check out).

I'm using the v 1.4.9 and the theme matrice.

If someone has an idea, I'd really like to use the One page check out.

Thank you,

Franck
