[solved] Upgraded but products won't show up!

I have upgraded my Prestashop software to 1.4.8.2

and since I did this, I've lost all of my pictures within my categories.

 

They were there before, but are now all gone. I"ve already changed permissions of the /img folder to 777 and it still did not help. What is happening? I need to get this site up by July 1.

Have you tried to regenerate your images in your back-office?

You actually have an error in your template. More than likely it is in one of the pages breadcrumbs.tpl, product.tpl, productlist.tpl

 

But what is happening is smarty is breaking and stopping to load. You can turn on smarty error reporting and see if that helps. There are instructions if you search the forum for it.

ugh... now it's saying this:

guess what? it was the template i was using. it must not have been compatible with the new PS upgrade. go figure.

i'll have to get another one that works. cheers!
