Possible to disable automatic log-in in front-office

Hello,

When I log in to a test account in the front office to make a test purchase, it seems I stay logged in - even after shutting down browser. Once I go to the front-office, select a product and then proceed to check-out, the step where I log in is skipped (since at one point in the past I already logged in). This is not good if I have different customers using the same computer.

 

I guess it is a matter of removing the cookie, but I want my customers to be able to choose whether to stay logged in or not.

 

Besides, when I go to the front-office, the "log in" link still says "log in" even when I am already logged in. Maybe this is normal, but I would think there would be an option to "log out" of my account, I haven´t found this anywhere in the FO.

 

Using version 1.4.6.2 with theme cool-putih.

Is there really no one else who has this problem? Could someone at least tell me where to find a thread which describes a solution - I haven´t been able to find any.

the answer is that you have to configure the time that expires the cookies of the front an back office have

you have to go to preferences and llok in there

In Back Office look under Preferences you will find Lifetime of the Front Office cookie and Lifetime of the Back Office cookie.

But that is only possible to do from BO.

As a customer, I usually want to be able to log out myself from the site I am visiting (Front Office).

I guess this is just not possible then?
