Loyalty Points total up incorrectly in PS1.4.8.2?

I have installed PS 1.4.8.2, which has in it Loyalty module version 1.8.

 

Loyalty points are set to begin accruing on this site at 2.98USD. Loyalty points on discounted items is disabled.

 

The product below has quantity discount prices for 10, 25, 50 and 100 assigned to it.

 

When a quantity (1) order for a product with a cost of 2.99USD is made, the loyalty module reports: "By buying this product you can collect up to 1 loyalty point. Your cart will total 2 points that can be converted into a voucher of $0.20."

 

Apparently, the Loyalty module is giving points for shipping as well as product. I don't want this to happen.

 

THEN, if the order for the same item is increased by selecting "Add to cart" over and over, adding products to the cart one at a time, the total loyalty points does not increment to show the additional quantity of products purchased. If the page is reloaded, the total loyalty points is refreshed.

 

THEN, if the cart is cleared, the total loyalty points is not recalculated. Refreshing the page clears the total loyalty points.

 

This is taking place in the latest version of FireFox for Windows, in Windows 7 64 bit. The same thing is happening the latest version of Safari running on fully patched OS X Lion. It is also happening on the default browser of my ASUS Transformer Prime tablet computer.
