Change language does not work in 1.4.8.2

I have installed prestashop 1.4.8.2 in english language and it installed successfully, but while I change default language into frence from back office, it does not change any more in my front office. It is still in english language. I even set "yes" for "Force compile" and "no" for "cache" on preference tab>performance link, to sure that all cache is cleared.

 

Let, me know you how I have tried to change default language.

 

I clicked on Tools > Language. Now I have choose "Français (French)" from select box of Default language label in language option fieldset. But prestashop system does not change in front office. It is still in english language.

 

I am sorry, if I did not understand to change default language from back office. Do any body know how to change default language in front office from back office. That would be great if any body could guide to me.

I don't know if there is any other way but that's what i did to set the default language too.

 

Seems that for prestashop

 

"Default language. This is the main language for your shop. This setting will influence your back-office's language (including the main language for your products), as well as the front-office. Note that depending on the browser's settings, the front-office's languages might adapt to the setting of the customer's browser."

 

 

I also tried changing my browser language and/or add the language e.g. french, it will only then recognize the language as the default language otherwise it doesn't change and remains in english in the front office.

I am having the same problem, I spent like a million hours translating PrestaShop to Hebrew, and it isn't working in Hebrew, some things are, but for example the CATEGORIES in the Front Office remain in English.

No matter what I do... it's very strange!!

 

What is this??
