duplicate email adress

Hi,

as admin I added a new customer and later deleted her. Now I want to add this customer again, "Back office", "Customers", "Add new", fill the list and click "save", but her email cannot be accepted :

"an error occurred while creating object customer (Duplicate entry '[email protected]' for key 'customer_email')"

How can I add to my "Customers" my old customer with her same email again?

Hi Alco,

You may want to check your database in the "ps_customer" table to see if that email address is still written there. If it is, just delete it and you should be able to add her again as a customer with that email address.

did you delete the customer "for good". when you delete a customer, you are prompted with options to either delete and block the user from registering again, or deleting and allowing them to register again.

 

I would try to search for the email address using the back office | customer page. you may have the customer already but in a disabled state. you would just need to enable them.
