Mike Kranzler
Hi pureclothings, I'm running some tests, but in the meantime, do you currently have Force Compile enabled and Cache disabled through the Back Office under Preferences > Performance? -Mike

NuBlue
Hi pureclothings, I'm not sure if you've made some changes as the site seems quite responsive for me at the moment. If you wanted to improve performance even further if you ask your host to enable gzip compression for your site I think that should improve the speed even further. Dh42
Are you sure it is your website, not your internet connection? It seems fine to me. Run it thru google page speed also.

codegrunt
no it's not my internet speed. i tried few times and google page speed gave different results. one time it showed 71, then 55 and 32 I have not had very reliable experience myself with HostPapa. I would start by checking the overall server load since that affects everything hosted on the server. Like most low end shared hosting providers HostPapa tend to oversell servers as well as under police them as far as security is concerned. A client of mine who previously was on their hosting service found general server slowdowns very common (which is why they left). With Prestashop being resource hungry, especially for database requests you can expect poor performance on an overloaded low end server. I would argue that if you are paying under $20US a month for hosting then you should expect a less than optimal hosting experience. Cheers
Scotty501
As Codegrunt says - if its cheap hosting - it is highly likley to be a well populated if not a over populated server. If one of the other domains on the server is poorly maintained and has resource hungry scripts - you site will suffer along with everyone else - ideally for PS dedicated server if funds permit, or try a good VPS server. I did a quick reverse DNS to see what domains are registered against your server IP and it shows 700+ domains - whilst not always very accurate it does suggest its quite busy and been around for a while. pureclothings
Google pagespeed is showing 33 out of 100. what does that means? That must be poor server isn't it?
