ZuZu
After installing a module my Prestashop won't load anymore. Instead a HTTP-error 500 (Internal Server Error) is served out. I have followed all leads and tips on this issueand have contacted my hosting provider (no error logs are made for HTTP-error 500) but nothing worked. So, I have a reinstall left :-( How do I do this in a way that my data is save? I have backups of all files and folders and the database. Is it a matter of deleting the current prestashop files and folders from my host and perform a fresh installation with putting the old stuff back during and after installation? Thanks! oxyweb
Hi Zuzu, There are so many different ways you can approach this but before I mention how I would do it, I will just ask one question! have you tried disabling the module in the ps_module table or remove it from the modules dir (even fi that means removing them *all* and then putting them back in the folder in small numbers? I know you've said that you've tried all sorts but just double-checking! If you have already then yes as long as you have a copy of the database and files you are good to go *but* the issue might reappear since you using the same files and db again. Rather than delete folders, just rename the current prestashop folder via FTP and rename the database too. Good to have these just in case it goes a bit quirky. Hope this helps. El Patron
use ftp, in modules folder, find the offending module...and delete it.
