How to edit default value in weight on product

Dear everyone,

 

Since my product weight is always same (0.16 kg), i need to edit the defalut value of weight in creating new product. the default value is 0(zero) kg, i need to change it to 0.16 kg.

where should i edit it?

You don't edit it from there, go to features in the left vertical menu and insert it there

Although a very old Topic, the original question was how to set a default value for a new product.

This can easily be done in the file /classes/product.php

open this file and search for 'weight' (CTRL-F/Command-F in browser)

 

you will find the code:

/** @var string Weight in default weight unit */

public $weight = 0;

 

change the 0 into the desired value to set the default value for a new product you make.

save file. Done. :-)
