Palminator
HI! Ive been working on a website for a long time, one day i logged in to prestashop and all the products in the catalog was gone.... They are still on the site if i click "view my site" and they are there if i click "monitoring". Please can someone help me with this? Have I messed up some file in prestashop? It would be a shame if all this time have gone to waste, I really need to configure the products! Please try to help! Best regards William
Mike Kranzler
Hi William, This is often due to a memory limit issue. Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase your PHP memory limit, and let me know if that resolves your issue. -Mike
Palminator
Hi Mike! I got the answer from my host: "Currently the php memory limit is set to 256Mb there is no php program that uses that much memory, so it is unneccery to increase the php memory limit." So the problem still presist.... Best regards William

Best regards William Hi William, In that case it doesn't appear to be a memory limit issue, because PrestaShop does not require that much memory unless your catalog is truly massive. What sort of changes were you making in the days leading up to this issue? -Mike
Palminator
Well I was trying to change the name over the "product tree" from categories to products. So what I kind of did was to click on to the files in prestashop called categories and searched after " name=categories" I made a few changes but didnt do no backup.... So i probably messed some file up. -William
Mike Kranzler
Hi William, In this situation, what you may want to do is download a fresh copy of PrestaShop, unzip it and replace any of the files you may have changed with clean versions. Then, back everything up before trying to make the changes this time around, just in case . I hope this helps. -Mike
