miskey
I am gonna add a product that has various of attributes groups such as color, and size. Each attribute group has different attributes. Those attributes make the product has nearly 300000 combinations. My first question is that is there an limitation for the number of combinations. My second questions is that how can I add a reference for each combination. Considering the huge amount of combinations, I will not do it manually. Thanks a lot. Dh42
The honest answer is prestashop cannot handle that.
miskey
The honest answer is prestashop cannot handle that. How many combinations can prestashop version 1.4 handle actually for one product?

How many combinations can prestashop version 1.4 handle actually for one product? Nowhere near the figure quoted. Once you reach the low four digits, unless you are running on a powerful dedicated server back office is crippled trying to display the combinations. Front office product page does not fare any better. Even on a dedicated server you will not be able to operate anywhere near that. This is not a problem specific to PS though. All shopping carts I worked with has this problem. Do what Amazon does and stick to 1-2 drop-downs and many different product entries.
boylibre
I ever tried to enter 3600 combination in PS 1.33 and it failed. But I think Zencart does better in this area.
