Force compile

Hi all

 

I have made a change to my themes, order-confirmation.tpl file and need to recompile it. I can turn force recompile on and make a purchase and I am guessing that will recompile the page.

 

But is there an official or better way to force a page to recompile.

Well, another way you can do it is to delete the smarty cached and compiled files. You can do this with an FTP client or from your account's cPanel. Go to the root PrestaShop directory on your account, then to /tools/smarty. There you'll see the folders cache and compile. Delete the files inside them except for index.php. In this case you don't need to enable the force compile option in your back office or disable the cache.
